Policy Driven and Technological Integration
The valve industry will accelerate its intelligent transformation by 2025, primarily leveraging policy support from the "14th Five-Year Plan for Intelligent Manufacturing Development" and the "Implementation Plan for Promoting Industrial Equipment Upgrades," promoting the deep integration of the Industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, and manufacturing.
The government has included highly integrated intelligent valves in the encouraged category, guiding companies to overcome technological barriers in high-end products and achieve import substitution.
Currently, the surge in demand for high-performance valves in the petrochemical, natural gas, and other sectors is forcing the industry to improve product reliability and customization capabilities.
Application of Intelligent Technologies
Leading companies such as China Nuclear Technology have developed intelligent valve systems that utilize sensors, the Internet of Things, and big data to enable real-time valve status monitoring, remote control, and fault prediction. Typical products include intelligent butterfly valves for water services and online monitoring systems for nuclear power main steam isolation valves.
Furthermore, the application of technologies such as flexible processing units and the A3 digital and intelligent integrated system has more than doubled production efficiency and significantly reduced production costs.
Challenges and Prospects of Industrial Upgrading
Despite significant progress by leading companies, small and medium-sized enterprises still face bottlenecks such as outdated equipment and insufficient information technology. Going forward, the industry needs to further promote the adoption of digital management systems like PLM and MES, and explore new business models such as remote operations and maintenance.
It is projected that by the end of 2025, the market share of domestically produced high-end valves will exceed 30%, with the industry as a whole shifting towards greener, more service-oriented approaches.
